An attack on the Residence of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in La Paz was reported this morning, where several shots were fired at the building’s facade. This action has generated a rapid response from both the Bolivian and Venezuelan governments.
Celinda Sosa Lunda, Bolivian Minister of Foreign Affairs, expressed her rejection of the events in a statement on X. “The Government of the Plurinational State of Bolivia strongly repudiates these acts of vandalism that violate the rights and immunities of Venezuelan diplomats,” stated.
She also stated that “investigations are being carried out by the appropriate authorities” to find those responsible for the attack.
Venezuela’s Foreign Minister, Yvan Gil, also spoke about the incident through his Telegram account. Gil thanked “the swift action of the Government of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, which has deployed an impeccable operation to find the fascist elements that have attacked our embassy in La Paz.”

The Bolivian authorities continue to investigate the causes surrounding this assault on Venezuelan diplomacy in Bolivia.
